Northwest College students visit with Steve Prosinski, editor of the Billings Gazette in Billings, Mont., during a recent tour.
Print specialization

This degree allows students to specialize in journalism with an emphasis in print media. Students learn to gather news and information, edit, write and design publications.

It allows both classroom experiences and hands-on involvement with the college's student newspaper, The Northwest Trail, which has repeatedly won awards for excellence in journalism. The Trail publishes each week during the academic year with the exception of school holidays. It circulates 1,300 copies in tabloid size.

Students also produce the visual arts magazine, Visualize This, featuring the work of art and photography students.
