What former students say...

Completing Northwest College's journalism program was one of the best decisions I ever made. I received a top notch education from some of the best faculty members in the field. Small classes meant more hands-on experience and individualized attention. I transfered to the University of Northern Colorado and found that I already had more experience and expertise than most students at my level. I would recommend NWC to anyone who wants a quality education for a reasonable price.
— Heather Evagelatos, Trail Editor 1998-1999, Class of 1999

Opportunities, intensity and experience are what I got in the Northwest College Journalism program. In conjunction with career-oriented classes and up-to-date technology, I had the ability to dive into the weekly newspaper, The Northwest Trail.
The Northwest Trail provided challanges that have led me to be a more critical thinker, a better problem-solver and to tweak leadership skills while engrossed in real-life situations.
There is no doubt that the journalism program at NWC has been the most valuable endeavor that I have embarked on for my future.
— Jen Lynn, Trail Editor, 1999-2000

Northwest journalism is a fantastic way to get hands-on experience with reporting techniques, styles and various story types as well as photo skills.
Being part of the Northwest Trail team gave me great pride in knowing every story, every photo, cutline and ad mattered to the students and public. The deadlines quickly come, the adrenalin begins flowin’ because you know you can’t be late. It’s truly a memorable and new experience week after week. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your final product in print all over campus and town.
— Amanda (Dusenberry) Jeide, Class of 2000
