CSI: Miami keeps fans' attention
TV review by Megan Zickuhr
Trail Staff Writer

I was very sad to leave my column for a week so I come back after our glorious feasting with yet another review. This week I picked a fan favorite: CSI: Miami.
If you tune in to CBS at nine o’clock on a Monday night you will usually catch a glimpse of Lieutenant Horatio Caine (David Caruso) and his team patrolling the streets of Miami, Fla. Driving the silver Hummer that is the unit’s vehicle of choice is Calleigh DuQuesne (Emily Proctor), Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo), Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) or Natalia Boa Vista (Eva LaRue Callahan). Alexx Woods (Khandi Alexander) is the medical examiner who works with the team and Detective Frank Tripp (Rex Linn) is the police officer assigned to the team.
Miami has a reputation for being a hot spot, for crime and for partying. Not only is the team graced with good looks but most of the guest stars seem to be too. Miami is like Los Angeles in that aspect, where crime reigns free and beautiful people are expected. Caine and his team do the best they can to solve the murders, occasional kidnappings and terrorist plots.
This season has been intense so far with things ranging from a believed Santeria curse to an officer of the armed forces suspiciously killed on duty.
CSI: Miami does a very good job of keeping viewers on their toes. It is never easy to find the murderer and when a person is watching it is hard to guess which mismatched suspect will truly be the one who committed the crime and it is usually the person you least suspect or even someone who wasn’t a suspect at all.
The writers do a wonderful job of giving each character a distinct, yet intriguing personality. Caine is very caring and rarely lets his emotions interfere with the job. All of his CSIs look up to him. Wolfe is obsessive-compulsive, which makes him very good at his job. He has a very close eye for detail. DuQuesne’s father is a recovering alcoholic and she has always been there for him, at the same time working as the ballistics expert. Each and every one does their best to keep the streets free of crime and to stop more from happening.
The Miami crime lab is full of interesting and hardworking people making CSI: Miami an interesting and believable show that has captured the attention of millions of viewers.
